Ever since the war in Iraq began, the 3rd and 4th graders at PES have adopted soldiers on the front lines of the war.  Below are introductions to the soldiers who have come home, AND to the three soldiers we are presently adopting for the school year 2008-2009, Captain Julie Perry, Staff Sgt. Philip Huber and Corporal Evan Rodeffer.  Captain Perry and Staff Sgt. Huber have arrived home safely during this school year.  We are so blessed to have them back with their families.

U.S. Marine Cpl. Evan Rodeffer, 2009

We are just getting acquainted with Cpl. Rodeffer, so we’ll put in his link when all of it is ready!  Here is a picture of him with his mom without his camouflage!  We DO know he is a graduate of Highland Park High School, and he is stationed aboard a battleship being deployed to the Middle East. More later!

Here’s the Valentine’s greetings heading To Cpl. Rodeffer:            These are headed to SSgt. Huber:

Adoption by the 3rd and 4th graders at PES means daily prayers in chapel for our soldiers' safety, along with mailings of all sorts of goodies and letters of encouragement and support.  Please join us in supporting our military all over the world, but most especially those who serve in harm's way every day.
